Our cleaning technicians will let you know that certain stains may not come out prior to cleaning. Stain removal goes above and beyond a normal carpet cleaning service. How much time will it take to clean my carpets?
It typically takes 20 to 30 minutes per room to clean carpets. This time can vary depending on the furniture that requires moving, how dirty the carpet is, and any spot treatments or pet treatments that may be required.
What does K&M Steam Cleaning consider “a room” for pricing purposes?
We consider a standard room size to be 15’ x 17’ or less. If any room is larger than 15’ x 17’ it may require an extra charge.
I have a living room/dining room combo. Is this considered one or two rooms?
This is a combination of two rooms. We consider the living room area and dining room area as two separate rooms.
Why should I have a Teflon protector applied after professionally cleaning my carpets?
K&M can professionally apply a protector to help your carpets and upholstery become more resistant to soiling by dirt, liquids, and oils. These protectors work by wrapping the fibers in a protective coating. The protective coating layer gives you more time to clean up spills and dirt before they soak in and stain your carpet or furniture.

If you notice any spots reappearing within ten days of K&M performing your carpet cleaning service, K&M will reclean the areas at no charge.

Most new carpet manufacturers require that homeowners do the following to keep their carpet’s warranty active: 1. Vacuum regularly. 2. Clean spills and tracked-in dirt promptly. 3 Have your carpets professionally cleaned on a regular basis.

Yes. The weather outside may impact the dry time, but not by much. Our cleaning experts will advise you on how to set your HVAC system for the best drying time depending upon humidity and outside temperature.
